Tribute to Jef Leppard/Jeff Davis on tonight’s Cold Ones with Ami Lawless, Thurs June 14

Thursday, June 14, 11am

Our community has lost a very loved & respected individual this past weekend, and has been thrown into a massive tailspin of mourning. My dear friend and band mate, Jef Leppard (Jeff Davis) was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident last Sunday here in San Francisco.  Jef’s wife Nikki Davis was a passenger on his bike and is in critical condition at SFGH. I cannot express in words the loss and brutal travesty this is that these two soul mates have been ripped apart. It’s rare to know coulpes that are just so perfect for one another, yet that is Jef & Nikki. Jef has cohosted this radio show a few times over the past year, so on tonight’s very special episode of Cold Ones & Rolled Ones we will be paying respects to our fallen friend/brother. Some of Jef’s former band mates will be live in the studio and some who live in far off lands will be calling in. We will also be giving out information on how people can donate to the Help Jeff and Nikki Davis Fund and information on Jef’s Memorial this Sat at Lennon Studios as well as the benefits to follow; Nikki’s road to recovery is going to be very long. We will also be playing music from the bands Jef had played in over the span of his musical career. Please help spread the word to all who knew and loved him to tune in tonight Thurs June 14th, 6:00-8:00pm Bay Area time zone.
