TONIGHT: Ask Dr. Hal LIVE! Fun(d)raiser Party

Friday, May 3, 1pm

Help keep Dr. Hal on the air!  You can witness the unique Ask Dr. Hal Show broadcast live TONIGHT, Friday,  May 3rd, 10 p.m.-1:00 a.m., at the Trucker’s Chapel, 2390 Mission St., Suite 302 (wheelchair accessible). Admission is $10; all proceeds go to support RadioValencia.fm). John Hell of Radio Val’s  A Season in Hell will serve as MC, and rumor has it he will also be serving Fernet Branca.

You can, as always, submit your questions anonymously to Dr. Hal, for answers ranging from the profound to the scurrilous and sometimes the profoundly scurrilous. But this evening, be prepared for more—for anything and everything. The event will include “Bardic Eruptions” (spontaneous poetic recitations); continuous “Eyenoise” video projections by KrOB (Stimulus Regression Programming), not to mention the special KrOB Moment; Pete Goldie’s Science Report, providing the very latest findings in astronomy and space flight; a classic animated cartoon and a specially edited Monster Movie segment, personally narrated by Dr. Hal;  the 2-Minute Dance Party; and poet/performer Whitman McGowan declaiming an original work, possibly with live music.
If that’s not enough, I.T. specialist Robert Levy, of S.F.’s late, lamented nightclub 12 Galaxies, will offer running commentary on what Dr. Hal and his guests say, with “hilarious (and often indecent) dredgings from the benthic bottom of the Internet.”

But wait! There may be yet more: Special Mystery Guests may lurk in the wings. . . .

Doors will open to the public at 9:30 PM; the performance and broadcast will begin at 10 PM.
