To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Yo La Tengo’s career, Michele K-Tel and KrOB are teaming up to feature four hours of music from indie rock stalwarts Yo La Tengo including all the hits, demos, live recordings, alt.takes and even (gasp) indie holiday carols. Join Michele K-Tel and KrOB this Thursday to celebrate the recent deluxe re-issue of Yo La Tengo’s 1993 “Painful” released as “Extra Painful.”
Part one of the YLT spectacular “airs” this Thursday from 8-10pm on “DISCO ROTO” hosted by Michele K-Tel. Part Two continues from 10 p.m. to midnight with host KrOB on “STIMULUS REGRESSION PROGRAMMING”.

RadioValencia.fm is proud to present a special live broadcast of the final gig for San Francisco-Oakland band Victory and Associates on Saturday Nov. 29 at El Rio.
This will be the final chapter for Post-Punk-Noise-Pop-Rockers Victory and Associates who celebrate five years, two albums, several singles and dozens of tours of musical duty across the country. Joining the farewell party will be Oakland’s post-hardcore/noise-pop trio Hurry Up Shotgun and recent Indiana-to-Bay Area-transplants LOVE MOON who specialize in cosmic heaviness.
The entire show will be broadcast live via RadioValencia.fm with special in-between-band sets from RadVal DJs. Show and live broadcast begins at 9 p.m. El Rio Cover charge is $7. 21+. All proceeds benefit RadioValencia.fm

Austin’s “thinking woman’s hard rock trio” Megafauna will be joining DJs Brian and Janine in studio as special guests for this Friday’s SonicSubversion show.
Hosts Brian and Janine will dive into the deep tracks from Megafauna’s fantastic new album “Maximalist,” and talk to the band about their upcoming gig with San Francisco’s Disastroid this Friday night at the Hotel Utah.
Megafauna has been melting faces and tearing up the festival circuit (including SXSW) while gaining a big name and even bigger sound.

Radio Valencia is delighted to air a special interview with singer-songwriter Stuart Murdoch of Glasgow band Belle & Sebastian who has a beautiful new film called, “God Help The Girl.”
The pre-recorded interview will air 10 a.m. Saturday September 06 the Lemme Ask You A Question show hosted by Delfin Vigil.
“God Help The Girl,” is a supremely charming musical that is ten years in the making for the renowned Scotsman Stuart Murdoch who wrote the soundtrack, screenplay and directed the film. The San Francisco premiere of “God Help The Girl,” will be Friday September 12 at the Roxie Theater.
Murdoch will discuss how he captured the “the Glasgow of his dreams” in the musical and how making a film compares to making records. Tune in 10 a.m. on Saturday via radiovalencia.fm
