Hey there true believers. This one starts out funky via Freebass, Pilooksi, and new ACR, then takes turns through some real cool tracks like a Warpaint cover of a Bowie classic, a brand new Bunnymen tower of song, and into some featured new albums from Little Barrie and Youngteam. After that it's a bunch of deep psychic grooves ... hope ya like it.

So I picked up the record of the year the other day. It's Little Barrie's 4th LP, "Shadow." It's an unbelievably great album and I play four songs off it. But I also play a bunch of other great stuff, such as new Black Angels, new Black Keys, Black Hearted Brother, and some tracks by bands that don't even have the word "black" in them too! Like a track from Steve Kilbey and Martin Kennedy's second collaboration album "You are Everything." Check it ouuuuuuuuuuuuut.

Killer vibes to start: Washed Out, Jagwar Ma, Nick Nicely, Black Hearted Brother, the KVB and a bunch of other current greats. After that, a blast from the past with New Age Steppers, followed by a more rockin second act thanks to the Janitors, the mighty Jesus and Mary Chain, and others. A live Goat coda for good measure.

I wanted to play some of that ole MUTANT FONK so that I had it ready for a stormy weekend. This episode features the finest in "disco not disco," "mutant funk," "no wave," "punk funk," "post punk funk" and other groovy musics between musics. Some of my favorite jams are on here. Artists like Maximum Joy, Orange Juice, Glaxo Babies, ESG, the 400 Blows, Sexual Harassment, Shriekback, Liquid Liquid, and some wilder still ones that you maybe never heard of before. Check it out. Fun times.

for real yall. This one is a pretty doggone good one. It's almost all contemporary -- think, brand spankin new -- psych, with three exceptions. I play a track from the Brazilian Garecao Bandita Spectrum album, a track off the classic psych punk Bay Area s/t EP by Sleepers, and a Mighty Baby track from '71. Other than that it's the best of the newest, most engaging type stuff. Come on along.

Greetings true believers. This one is all about the pre pre pre pre party. Lots of great psychedelic pop jams, old and new. Two great songs by The Clean from 2009, a couple great tracks from the transcendant Michael Head's (Shack, Pale Fountains, The Strands, M.H. and the Red Elastic Band), new Warpaint, Screen Vinyl Image, Secret Colours, Felt, Joy Division, a special appearance by the comet ISON, the Telescopes at 444 mHz, and a cast of thousands.

This one is two distinct parts, in hindsight. I start off with all kinds of new (and newish) great stuff from the likes of Cate Le Bon, Michael Head, Dead Rabbits, Temples, Toy, Warpaint, and one of my faves from the past couple years, Youngteam. After that a left turn into psychotic murky headspace. But good fun for all and sundry, as always.

Today's episode is book ended by the first and last tracks from the Aliens (fantastic) album, "Luna." There are also rare as hen's teeth tracks from Cave, Ttotals, and I was very pleased to play a brand new LIVE recording of GOAT! A suite of songs from Liverpool's Mugstar, a great new track from the soon to appear in SF Toy, and a recent go-to, Far Out Fangtooth's "Nature Fetish." Hope ya like it!

hello there friends. this one is a good one. it starts off with a lil 1981 type heaviness courtesy of the singular Adrian Sherwood's New Age Steppers, gets into some spacey vibes from the likes of Nick Nicely, Washed Out, Dwellings, and Secret Colours. Then it goes more PSYCH with Twink, Morgen, Wooden Shjips, Bardo Pond, Far Out Fangtooth, and a bunch of other great stuff. I had fun and hopefully you will too. Plus I scored a HOLY RIVER FAMILY BAND RECORD for 25 bucks and I played it on thee show!
