On this day in 2023, we lost the legendary Jeff Beck to a sudden onset of bacterial meningitis. It came on suddenly and as shock to us all as we have been experiencing the music from this vibrant and healthy man for nearly 60 years. Many, including myself, considered Jeff Beck to be the greatest guitar player of all time. His unique techniques and phrasings, he certainly stands out among all musicians. I learned of his passing only a few hours before doing this show. I cobbled it together quickly and a bit on the fly, which in a way, is a lot like the way he improvised. He knew the tag lines and melodies, but how he would approach each performance was with a sense of immediacy where an exact replication what not you would get, but an emotive and skillful interpretation. I hope this set list conveys that spirit as well celebrate the life and music of the Legendary Jeff Beck.
