Shoegaze is liminal music for liminal people in liminal phases of life during a liminal time in society. Its edges can be fuzzy, it's vocals sometimes unintelligible. It is simultaneously fragile, like ice and yet it will utterly crack open your psyche, like a glacier through a valley. Or if you prefer more sensual metaphors, it is the musical equivalent of tiramisu: layered, airy yet dense, complex and always tasty. It deserves to be heard it halls of worship.
