Saturday was Backwards Day at the Metal Asylum! I have a predictable habit of playing thrashy, punky, old-school metal towards the beginning of the show, then a little bit of death, ending with a transition to black metal or doom/sludge. Then, I typically leave the studio at 2 in a doom-y daze, blinded by sunlight as I leave Chicken Shack, gorge on Dynamo Donuts, and scoot home to take a nap. BO-RING! In the spirit of shaking things up, I reversed my typical playlist, and boy oh boy, was I PUMPED for the rest of the day.
