An Evening to Forget – Nighthawks
Saturday, May 28
2pm
Hello, everyone. For this morning’s show, my chosen theme was “Nighthawks” – not only an Edward Hopper painting, but also a noun. I have always been a nighthawk. I love the feeling of utter silence, solitude, and peace that accompanies one when one is up late. I selected songs that I feel capture that mood in its many variations; from film scores to minimally produced ballads. Please excuse the technical difficulties after the first song and halfway through the second – I chose to leave them in the podcast, as I don’t believe we should be ashamed of the warts and flaws that life inevitably brings (okay, okay, I really just wanted to leave “Coyote” in there). Hope you enjoy.
