Shareef Ali is in the studio in the first hour. He’s promoting a show this Wednesday at Bottom of the Hill.
Following this fine interview I’m focusing on a tribute to the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
It’s all about the preparation. I often times pull too much music, which is good. I’d rather do that than not pull enough. I don’t time my show down to the second, but I always have a good sense of what should follow what. Radio is a craft; an art form. They say it takes twenty years to become a master. I’ve been doing radio since 1988; DJing since 1986. I don’t feel I’m a master in any way, but I really do love practicing my art every week. I’m blessed.
Tonight I went deep to pay tribute to Dr. King. I think you’ll enjoy the show.
