B-Sides. Funky beats. Steady licks. Punchy harmonies. Flamenco rhythms. Some humor randomly thrown in, mostly because DJ Metaskeptik is totally new to radio, so there WILL BE SCREW UPS. Podcast will post sometime after as lots of listeners will be sleeping (or will they?). Not genre specific, lest your ears be bored and not perky; we strive for perky ears.
Thanks everybody for listening to the radio show today. If you missed it, don’t worry, the podcast is right below. Have a great week and enjoy some music, relax and spark up a joint like Jack does. CHEERS! ~DJ Naked Rob, SFCA

Her career as a musician and singer has spanned several decades, propelling her from Eindhoven to solo performances and group collaborations (Plus Instruments, Rhys Chatham)throughout the world. She’s also designed her own electronic instruments, some of which she brought for her excellent 2014 Fuse Factory performance.
On Friday’s radio show we welcome very special guests Otis Fodder (Bran Flakes) and Irwin Chusid (WFMU; Raymond Scott Archives) to celebrate the album release of RAYMOND SCOTT REWIRED! Otis and Irwin will discuss the album with co-collaborator TradeMark and co-host Frilly (but without Mark Vidler of Go Home Productions, who couldn’t make it) and play many of the album’s 19 tracks including the joint collaboration finale of the album, Raymond Scott’s classic Powerhouse.
After the show we all head down to Monarch at 6th and Mission for “Music By Proxy” where Janine and Carlos will play live at the Amazing Hour At Monarch (6th and Mission San Francisco) for Amazing Music, Amazing Drinks and amazing company (including some of the radio Valencia Djs) NO COVER 5:30 to 9:30 PM
The Bay Area has always been a hot bed of cool and unique musical acts, a plethora of bands that are the creators of their chosen genre. The Bay just doesn’t dissapoint when it comes to non-regurgitated music! With this in mind, we’re stoked to have the Bay’s own OVVL on Cold Ones and Rolled Ones with Ami Lawless. Over the past few years OVVL has released an LP, cassette single and an EP; All have been met with critical acclaim by not only this band’s peers but also the most discerning music critics alike. OVVL play a tight and heavy jammed out style of solid rock and roll, with a stoney nod to the 70’s era. Easy comparisons could be made to BLACK SABBATH, HAWKWIND and PENTAGRAM, yet OVVL’s sound adds a heavy dose of raw brutality into the mix. While you can definitly hear this band’s influences here and there throughout thier releases, they manage to keep thier stylings fresh and uncompromisingly new, this band isn’t fallowing bland trends, they’re creating a genre that pays homage to the past. Today on Cold Ones with Ami Lawless, drummer Clint Baechle will be swinging through the Radio Valencia studios with some of
his OVVL bandmates (FYI, two band members are his brothers) to chat us up about what the band is up to. We’ll spin some sweet OVVL tracks and they’ll play some tunes form other bands they are into. This show is not to be missed. Tune in for the music/stay for the chaos!

Yep this bad ass d-beat down takes place on Friday thee 13th! You can pre-sale tickets at http://www.holdmyticket.com/event/143299 Tune in for the music/stay for the chaos!
Stay punk Stay grind and F*#@ Scion! What local promoter not only created this motto but actually lives it? Why Oakland’s own Gregg DeadFace of course! DeadFace has created a massively essential Fest that has become well known and much anticipated by punx, metal heads and grinders worldwide. This year’s DeadFest is being held once again at the Oakland Metro Opera House and is chock full of some of the most respected underground bands that are currently active. Rhode Island stalwarts DROPDEAD will be headlining both nights, Friday August 16th and Saturday August 17th; respectively doing two completely different sets each night! Both bills each night are stacked with crucial bands like; GRAVES AT SEA, TURBOKRIEG (from Texas), TRANSIENT (from PDX), D.I.S. (from L.A.), LOLITA BLACK (from RI), NIGHT NURSE (from PDX),COMPLETED EXPOSITION (from Japan) and a plethora of others, including some of the Bay Area’s best up and comers like DERAS KRIEG, CRYPT KEEPER, PANCAKE LIZARD, YOUR ENEMY, BRAINOIL and NOOTHGRUSH. This Fest has become well respected and a must for extreme music lovers and we here at Radio Valencia are honored to have several of the band members on for interviews this evening on Cold Ones & Rolled Ones with Ami LawLess. Tune in from 6:00-8:00pm to hear from Jordan of DERAS KRIEG, Bob of DROPDEAD & LOLITA BLACK, Krysta of TRANSIENT and Eric of TURBOKRIEG. Tonight’s show is ALL DEADFEST ALL THE TIME! Remember STAY PUNK/STAY GRIND!
On today’s episode of Cold Ones & Rolled Ones with Ami Lawless, Ami’s in studio guests will be; Eric Cutler and Erika Osterhout of Bay Area old school death metal band NECROSIC. Although NECROSIC is a newer band, both Cutler and Osterhout have been kicking around the bay area metal scene for some time; Cutler a founding member of legendary AUTOPSY and DOOMED, while Osterhout has done time in SCOLAX. We will be spinning some tunes from NECROSIC as well as the other bands both these bad asses have been a part of and of course we will be chatting about all things NECROSIC as well as the Bay Area metal scene/community. You can always hit us up in the chat room or on the phone lines during the show if you want to ask a question. This is a not to be missed show and if you’ve ever been a fan of old school death metal, thrash or punk; then this is for you. Other members of NECROSIC include vo-killist Steve Morris (ENVIRUSMENT & DEMENSION 13), guitarist Scott Stanton (MUMMIFICATION & GLOB) and rounding out this stellar line up is drummer John Shafer (FUNERAL). This is a band to keep an eye on because they seriously rule with their brand of death/thrash/punk shenanigans and are already building quite the fan-base here as well as abroad. You know the drill, hardcore/punk/metal shall be played, tune in for the music/stay for the chaos! 6:00-8:00pm every Thursday.
On today’s episode of Cold Ones & Rolled Ones with Ami Lawless, Ami’s guests will be punk rawk icon Dave Dictor of legendary band MDC and ARNOCORPS super hero/front man Holzfeuer. MDC were an integral part of the Austin, Texas hardcore scene in the early 80’s along side THE DICKS & THE BIG BOYS, then relocated around the same time to San Francisco and were a part of this ever growing punk rawk community as well. Not many bands can say they were there for the birth of both these vibrant music scenes. MDC’s main component has been Dave Dictor. Dave has fronted this band since the get go (they started out under the name THE STAINS), helping to establish MDC as one of the best and longest running punk bands that have always questioned & confronted the status quo through their music. With Dave’s unique socio-politcal lyrics MDC have called out everything from multi-corporate domination to homophobia to Reagan era shenanigans to the violent suppression of Communism in Central America. MDC is a band that fully utilizes the “soap box” they’ve been given to educate and get their audiences thinking & questioning the world at large. MDC will be making their return back to the bay, playing Gilman On Friday June 14th. Action adventure, hardcore rock n rollers, ARNOCORPS is celebrating a brand spanking new release called THE FANTASTIC EP and will be bringing the super hero action to Slims in San Francisco Friday June 14th. Holzfeuer frontman & kick ass hero will be taking some time out of his busy super hero schedule to chat us up and let us premier some tracks off the new EP. ARNOCORPS has won best band in Best of The Bay and have built quite the loyal hero/she-ro fan fallowing over the past decade, with good reason; This band is fun, exciting and play some of the best hardcore-punk-n-roll! If you’ve not seen ARNOCORPS, this Friday is your chance to come correct and join the rescue team!
Dave Dictor of MDC, delivering the message to the masses!
