Legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist P.F. SLOAN wrote some of the swimmingest surf songs, the poppiest pop songs, and the angriest folk anthems of the 1960s, most while still in his teens!  He culled plenty of rabid fans but that seemed to matter little to an indifferent music industry that did not seem to know what to do with his immense talent.  Nearly 50 years later, after 14 years of painstaking research and recording, P.F. unleashed a gem of pop/classical genius called My Beethoven.  Hear the entire album and many vintage hits from the P.F. Local SF pop hero ARI VAIS from THE CAMPBELL APARTMENT stopped by RV studios to play some live tunes and some new recorded hits from the upcoming CA vinyl(!) EP Sundogs. In the early 1990s, a record came out by NYC pop/psych band SPRINGHOUSE named Land Falls made its way into my hands.  Somehow that decade saw it disappear from my hands, but last year a SPRINGHOUSE record from 2007 called From Now To OK caught my attention and got me to do some audio archeology of the band’s previous releases.  The story of the rise/fall/rise again of this band got me to interview two of the original members to get the real story.  Hear the results and lots of SPRINGHOUSE music on this episode of GE.  Musical longevity matters, fellow music geeks!
