The ’60s-’70s Welsh R&B/Prog/Boogie/Jam collective known as MAN had a particular connection with San Francisco, being arguably the UK’s answer to MOBY GRAPE. It got a scandalous start when the track “Erotica” from MAN’s first LP was banned by the BBC, and then went in many varied and unpredictable directions, even spinning off another fine Prog-Rock act The NEUTRONS. Hear plenty of early MAN tracks plus peripheral work by front-man DEKE LEONARD on this GE episode. Grove with the Wales/SF connection, fellow music geeks!
