Broadcast 21 featured a live dj set inspired by the beautiful, 2009 film Amer. A post modern homage to giallo films, Amer was directed by French/Belgian couple Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani.

Amer is about the sexual awakening and development of a young girl and features the classic imagery of giallo films. Beautifully shot, often with a similar technicolor filter as classic films like Suspiria and Inferno, Amer floats through three events in a young woman’s life. Is it reality? Is it a fever dream? The answers are found in your imagination.

If you love giallo films, Dario Argento, Mario Bava, the music of Bruno Nicolai and Stelvio Cipriani, if you love European films about the sexual awakening of a young girl, you will absolutely enjoy this film.
