Li Po and Island Girl did a little record shopping at Rooky Ricardo's. Give a listen to the luscious 45's we acquired, including a rare, english pressing of Clash dub remixes, a Lena Horne cover of a Beatles song, and lots of rock and roll that you can dance to.

Today on Cheap Hooch, we hosted Ben Lee and Ricky Carter of Oakland-based The TOaG Quartet. They played a couple of new tunes live in the studio, played some favorite tracks from their latest album "Live at the Airship" and played a track that their students from Oakland High School recorded.

Holly Hooch was away on assignment, so Li_Po & Island Girl took over. With some fits and starts we managed to play a selection of Paisley Underground bands, with some heavy emphasis on early Redd Kross.

A little trip down memory lane to hear some of the great music that came out of England in the 90's. From Suede to Spiritualized, it was a great time for music in England, one that was fundamentally different from that era in the United States.

We had a fantastic show last Sunday with our special guests Jay, Becca and Madison; three bay area comics that are really taking it up a notch.
