Artist Profile: Andrew Blair and Jonathan Kirchner
In this artist profile episode of the California Zephyr, DJ Knockout is joined in the studio by local artists: Andrew Blair and Jonathan Kirchner.

Andrew Blair is an East Bay native, songwriter and frontman for the band We Became Owls. With the release their second EP–There Are Other Animals At The Zoo–this talented group of musicians has earned their spot as a band to watch in the Bay Area. Described as alt. country, americana, bluegrass, indie-folk and indie-rock.

Jonathan Kirchner is in high-demand as a bass player and sound engineer in the San Francisco/Bay area, performing in the band Con Brio at venues such as the Independent and the Great American Music Hall. Described as dirty funk, blues, psychedelic dance music. Jonathan also performs with local muse, Kelly McFarling and her band the Home Team – described as bluegrassy, singer-songwriter songs sung beautifully.

Tune in to hear the boys talk about their music and the music that inspired them along the way. It's another thrilling ride on the California Zephyr. Jump on.
