After a short yapping from TUPAC (while he was in the POKEY)we get to TIME-TRAVEL back to the mid-80s when the CHESCHIRE NIHILIST hosted the INTERSTELLAR STATIC PROGRAM on KPFT in HOuston (KPFA in Berkeley's sister station) and what made it special is the DJ was the 1st I'd ever seen who'd play 2 or even 3 things simultaneously (something we do here on occasion). This show ran for 10 years and influenced me and many other folks in a very good way. As a matter of fact I got a request from a fellow in Palos Verde and of all the coincidences this fellow was tellin me how he got his wacky taste in music when he was trippin balls on LSQ in Austin and somehow picked up KPFT all the way from Houston when the CHESCHIRE NIHILIST was on and he was instantly hooked.... (he used to listen to Country Music). Now it's 30 years later and he's calling me up and requesting Cabaret Voltaire's "Sluggin fer Jesus". Way To GO Cheschire Nihilist! Hmmm. Maybe now that this story is told folks will better understand why thia show is called what it is...
