Episode #085-Standing in the Center of Nowhere
A light theme mostly based on the show’s opening track, but loosely touches on the fact that my musical selections cover many decades. This is a bit of a return to my origins and really just a rock n roll mix.
The first 40 seconds or so is carry over from In the Land of Hi Fi with dx Funky Grandpaux and is Billie Holiday performing It’s Like Reaching for the Moon with Ted Wilson’s Orchestra. I love Billie. It’s a nice way to segue into this show, and though not part of the official set list, is nice tie in to closing remarks instrumental track with Django Reinhart and Stephane Grappelli. Hope you enjoy this 4-hour foray into nostalgia and pretzel logic.
