The music industry is full of "genres" and "categories" in an effort to artificially steer the consumer towards product and dissuade listeners from making uniquely personal choices about their music listening habits. While the Conflux Cornucopia Cerebellum Cocktail Hour often provides a "Themed" experience, meant to indulge in a particular mood or vibe, it's core theme, in absence of any other, is to dispel the notion that genres have real importance and to expose show listeners to a variety of sounds and styles the world over. Collecting and blending sounds in a sort of chemistry to unlock endless possibilities.
This show is as simple as that concept and is a musical journey much like a buffet of culinary treats for your ears.

However, life does sometime provide surprises, and the arrival of DJ Deathwish about half way through altered my original plans in lieu of doing the album review we'd been talking about leading up to the release of the latest King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard latest album, The Silver Chord. So off the rails we went. Along with the event next door addressing the war in Isreal/Palastine, and some interesting dialogue on the side. Proof that it's always good to remain flexible and be adaptable.

Also many thanks to our new friend Rachael who brought a lot extra levity to the show.
