Then we diverge into our artist spotlight of the AM which falls on HUMAN FLESH the great italian cassette culture band of the 80's. I KNOW I KNOW: "ya never heard of 'em". THAT's WHY I'M HEAR and have been proferred these lengthy nightime hours...because the amount of amazing music out there waiting to be heard is TRULY INFINITE and it's (thankfully) GROWING ALL THE TIME! SO I've got to GO LONG to keep up!

INTERSTELLAR NIHILISM SET IN-GREED-HE-AIN’t's: Feelin that good ole “disappearing Western Frontier /Knight of the Long Knives” deja vu everytime I hear the zound of Douglass’ voice piercing through those sunny acoustic geetars in a cross section of favorite Death in June Zongs. And I swoon to the new Swans release “My Father will guide me up a rope to the sky” which juxtaposes nicely with SVARROGH’s “Balkan Renaissance” and the last (s)ingredient that went in our cauldorn bubble was a few choice cuts from a new discovery called TOKYO BLOODWORM to add to the toil and trouble. After a few tastes of the yolk from LAIBACH’s patriotic(?) release “Volk” we took one last DIJish Carousel Ride with 6comm’s Tony Wakeford as your new guide. And this is where I can announce with pride that we played all-kickass Scorn tracks for the rest of the night. Until morning time brought a war for the weirdest LP I should play. (it was fought for quite hard and could have gone on all day!) but 23 skidoo’s “Culling is Coming…” stood out and held sway…and that’s all the weird sit that I played 4 you this day! – Doktor Sleeeeepleeesssss

From that point on we hearsd...wait letr me consult my star charts....("hurrrrrmmmmmm......")

One of the bleakes CHROME songs "I am the Jaw" sets the tone for a night of Vitriol and fury. the STATEMENT compilation featuring RAMLEH / PURE and ANTI-COMMUNITY takes center stage in this happy-go-lucky romp through everyone's secret inert desire to be a menace to society...

I associated a truly powerful love with tripping my balls off...and thus this exquisite state of mind most certainly deserves a zoundtrack all its own...
A relatively short show for I.N. but SWEET!

MUSLIMGAUZE (aka Bryn Jones) was a non-stop manic music-production machine releasing an unceasing catalog of home recordings on staalplaat and Soleilmoon since the early 80s. Before his untimely passing in 1999 he had already seen the release of over 120 CDs of his work with many more to be released posthumously. Not only has Bryn's tireless efforts had a powerful impact on my own work (see "ARABIAN KNIGHTMARES" on TESCO) but also influenced the work of many other artists from all kinds of musical genres. The only drawback to the massive catalog of Muslimgauze is having to SORT THROUGH IT. While much of it is great there is a fair amount of the work that seems either too difficult for my personal consumption or just sounds UNFINISHED. And I'm not alone ibn this opinion by the way. SO in an effort to assist the many Muslimgauze listeners out therer and ALSO to introduce NEW listeners to the BEST of his work I've done a bit of SORTING to come up with SIX HOURS or so of gorgeous Muslimgauze tracks with nary an unfinished track in the bunch. What inspired THIS wild hare up my ass you may be wondering? LISTEN and Hear...

After a short yapping from TUPAC (while he was in the POKEY)we get to TIME-TRAVEL back to the mid-80s when the CHESCHIRE NIHILIST hosted the INTERSTELLAR STATIC PROGRAM on KPFT in HOuston (KPFA in Berkeley's sister station) and what made it special is the DJ was the 1st I'd ever seen who'd play 2 or even 3 things simultaneously (something we do here on occasion). This show ran for 10 years and influenced me and many other folks in a very good way. As a matter of fact I got a request from a fellow in Palos Verde and of all the coincidences this fellow was tellin me how he got his wacky taste in music when he was trippin balls on LSQ in Austin and somehow picked up KPFT all the way from Houston when the CHESCHIRE NIHILIST was on and he was instantly hooked.... (he used to listen to Country Music). Now it's 30 years later and he's calling me up and requesting Cabaret Voltaire's "Sluggin fer Jesus". Way To GO Cheschire Nihilist! Hmmm. Maybe now that this story is told folks will better understand why thia show is called what it is...

Just still feeling my way into this new setting and loving it. Lotsa steady late nite rockers of the 80s persuasion from Siouxsee and The Banshees to Section 25 to Factrix to Steven severin's "Codex Astra" inspired by the prose of Aliester Crowley) and mixed in every now and again with some slightly more distoibing material... Plus Bill Maher reminds all the God-Fearing Christians in America that if they were truly so happy and excited to see that Bin Laden was shot and killed in an act of patriotic vengeance then they can't really consider themselvees 'Christians' - they're Texans. I make some comments on the ridiculousness of the newspaper headline about there being "no 'torture' used in the manhunt".
