Can Haz DJ: 4-per-hour
We featured extended blocks of different artists. The idea was to play about four bands an hour (or 12 for the entire 3-hour show). We began with a block of Tied & Tickled Trio, who play the Can Haz DJ theme song "Observing Systems".

After that we went through set after set of diversely excellent music, including sets of Built to Spill (and The Treepeople, a related band), The Clash, The Pixies, The Saints, Hüsker Dü, The Fall, Califone, Tom Waits, Augustus Pablo, & The Imps. We ended up at just about 4 per hour, including some of this DJ's favorite music of all time. Hope you enjoy it, too!

Can Haz Early Days

Mikl-em
Can Haz Early Days
Some of the earliest recordings by various acts, debuts & demos and such. Including the first recordings by Laurie Anderson, Simple Minds, David Bowie, and Jim "Foetus" Thirlwell, amongst many others. Plus early Talking Heads, Kool Keith (w/ his first group the Ultra Magnetic MC's), Marc Sandman's first band Treat Her Right, Hawkwind (playing the song Motorhead, and featuring Lemmy in the band), Captain Beefheart, and music from The Modern Lovers (led by Jonathan Richman and featuring future members of The Cars and Talking Heads). Oh and Michael Franti's original band The Beatnigs, with the original version of "Television, Drug of a Nation" which he would later re-record with Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.

Lots more besides, another extended whirlwind of a show. Check it out. Man.

Can Haz Halloween (10/26/2010)
The first annual Can Haz Halloween was on Tuesday, October 26th, 02010. Just a couple months into doing the show. This is a 2-hour podcast (that's what they were back then), and I quite pleased with the song selection even if some is a little surprising. The Punk Rocky Horror Picture Show covers should surprise no one. You should enjoy this, now, please.
