THE ASK DR. HAL! SHOW stands atop a mighty monument of a near half-century of improvisatory broadcasts. It represents a continuation of these and a tradition of newly created material in an elder pattern. The show these words accompany is a single effort. No guests were present. At such times, we at Ask Dr. Hal! rely on our ever-dependable font of recorded show progenitors-- in essence, Archival Material, courtesy of the convoluted constructions, the edifying edits of Puzzling Evidence, whose eponymous Show accorded us our last presence on actual radio. Receiving some of these, we employed them, adding a single layer of contemporary commentary. Intermittently we played, when the deteriorating equipment would permit, musicks from our carefully assembled accumulation. Poems are here, including some unlikely candidates.
