For reasons I do not fully understand myself, I am deeply in love with British rock and roll from the British Invasion on. I am a West Coast American guy, so I am sure there are many layers of British culture references that I miss completely. All I know is that Great Britain seems to churn out cool bands with catchy songs better than any other place on earth.

This is really hitting hard this summer as the undisputed champs 90s era "britpop" have reunited to tour, to the delight of pretty much everyone it seems. Even in San Francisco, where I live, the shops and restaurants are playing Oasis. Oasis merch is available for purchase in retail stores.

The video footage from their concert shows huge stadiums of people singing along and moshing like nothing I've ever seen. Oasis Live 2025 appears to be everything the people wanted and more.
