Malderor has been nursing a cold for almost two weeks, and before that there were holidays and things, so he and Shey haven't been into the studio since late last year. The cold makes Malderor a little punchy and oxygen-deprived, so they picked a theme out of a hat. (The "hat" in this case being some random theme-generator page on the internet.) They settled on "oceans" and went with that. Shey plays some songs on the more downtempo end of the spectrum. Malderor makes his sets up as he goes along.
