The talented folks from 915 Cayuga (http://www.915cayuga.com/) stopped by to do their live radio comedy variety show thingy. There was less music than normal, but more comedic stylings.

Thump Juice couldn't do their regular Friday night show, so Dr. Junk took over for a prime-time slot of Dr. Junk's musical stylings.

This show was all about the San Francisco Giants, who were in the midst of sweeping the Detroit Tigers to win the goddamn World Series of Baseball. So Malderor and Dr. Junk had been drinking. A lot. Which, weirdly, lent itself to one of the most musically cohesive episodes of the program ever.

Dr. Junk and Juan Rapido joined forces on a rare open Saturday evening primetime timeslot, for two hours of radio goodness (and making fun of Malderor) live from our brand new studios.

It was a beautiful day in the Bay Area, so we broadcast from a backyard BBQ in Noe Valley. We also had Cheap Hooch and Juan Rapido guesting on the show, and Malderor played (almost) 100% new music out of the UK, much of it still unreleased in the US. This included the Fixers, Peace, Gabriel Brice, Tame Impala and many more. (Malderor unearthed a veritable motherlode of new British music for this week.) There was also food, and drink, and sunshine and good times. Give it a download, won't you? (BEWARE. Then Cheap Hooch took over for two hours of garage-rocking good times.

Both Dr. Junk and Holly Hooch were off "camping" this weekend, so Malderor and D$ decided to pool their efforts and do a four-hour Malderor/Cheap Hooch radio show. We also threw open the doors of the new Radio Valencia location for an "open studio", so there is a rambunctious live-studio audience mixing cocktails in the background for all the mic breaks. We also played new music from Vir, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Larry & His Flask, Firewater, and Ringo Deathstarr.

Brain from www.steamstock.org came by to talk about his festival and play a few songs from the performers he has lined up. Then Cheap Hooch showed up for their show, and Malderor stuck around and yammered far into their timeslot. There was also whiskey. Oh, this was also our first "real" show from our brand new studio.

This show was relatively messy, as Malderor and Dr. Junk tried to continue their show as-normal, despite the fact that Radio Valencia is physically moving from their former studio to their new location at 20th and Mission. So there are the sounds of active construction in the background, as our new space is being built around us, and Malderor & Dr Junk play their usual flawless musical sets. This week we're live on the air from sunny Mexico! Dr. Junk and I broadcast from a beach in Zihautanejo. There was a high surf advisory, and a 100% chance of margaritas. (Backstory: after last year's labor-intensive trip to Burning Man, we agreed on "The Playa" that we'd blow off Burning Man in 2012 and do our show from a swim-up-bar in Mexico.) So this show was brought to you while dangling our bits in a pool and drinking something called a "Coco Loco" out of a fresh coconut.

Also, it came to our attention mid-show that we were being rebroadcast by a camp called "Airship Victoria" at Black Rock City. So there is much mocking of poor benighted fools in the desert.

Malderor was away on family business, but Dr. Junk held down the fort semi-ably. He played his normal selection of predictable songs, focusing mainly on our upcoming remote production, planned to be broadcast next week from a swim-up-bar in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. But it's an amiable enough selection, and he managed to mock Malderor senselessly, who was listening in the central valley with his mother when Dr. Junk played "The Blowjob Song."

Today's radio programme continued our series of non-traditional renegade studio locations. As such, we broadcast from a backyard BBQ off San Jose Avenue, with a live studio audience. We seamlessly handed off to Cheap Hooch Radio, with special guest Juan Rapido, from Dante's Hot-tub. Well, "seamless" may be the wrong word. But all our shows kind of blended together, there was much banter, and the food was awesome. We'd like to thank our hosts T&C for having us radio miscreants. Malderor was on assignment in the Black Rock Desert, so Dr. Junk again called in Russell from local bluegrass act Rusty Stringfield to help him work the buttons. As such this is a rather unusual episode of the program. There are offerings of jazz, reggae, and even some jam-bands, as well as Dr. Junk's regular features. Quite a departure from what you might normally expect. Overall, Malderor describes it as "good music to fold your laundry to."

Malderor was off in Point Arena visiting his mother-in-law, so he left Dr. Junk to his own nefarious devices this week. When asked to provide a blurb for the show, Dr. Junk offered this:
