It was 33 years ago today that the promoter told Joan to play. On todays show I'll be featuring a Joan Jett and the Blackhearts show that she played on this date (June 1st) in 1981. The show was recorded in a small club in Long Island, NY. It was right in between the release of her 1st album and her second, I Love Rock 'N' Roll. The album the reinstated her as a Rock Star. I will also be playing unreleased live Runaways tracks from Joan's legendary past.
