Lemme Ask You A Question Episode #20: Stuart Murdoch of Belle & Sebastian/God Help The Girl
In this episode, singer-songwriter Stuart Murdoch of Glasgow band Belle & Sebastian discusses the making of his first film, "God Help the Girl," which has its San Francisco premiere at the Roxie Theatre this Friday.

Murdoch directed the film, wrote the screenplay and arranged all of the songs for this superbly charming musical that follows the story of three rootless souls finding themselves by way of forming a band and writings songs over the course of a Glasgow summer. "God Help The Girl," was produced by Barry Mendel (Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Sixth Sense) and debuted at Sundance where it won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award (Ensemble). The soundtrack kicks arse, as well.

Also on this episode of Lemme Ask You A Question: new music from Craig Michael Clarke and an audiobook excerpt from Mark Jacobson's "American Gangster," -- a true story of a Harlem Hoodlum that inspired the film with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
