R.I.P. Neil Peart, The Professor on the Drum kit
Like many, I was stunned and deeply saddened by the loss of Neil Peart. He left an indelible mark on music, and myself. The music of Rush has always been a part of me, since age 9 when I first heard "A modern day warrior mean mean stride / today's Tom Sawyer mean mean pride." His lyrics were thought provoking, insightful, and captured the essence of the human condition like no other. If there's a soundtrack for my life, Rush is it.
